Avro 504 First Day Envelope

Commemorating Guernsey's own No. I Royal Naval Air Service Detachment, Eastchurch, 21 November 1914.

This First Day Cover was flown on a routine Maritime patrol over the north Atlantic in a area west of "Rockall" on 1, October 1982 by Crew 5 201 Squadron. Radar, acoustic and photographic reconnaissance tasks were completed druing the 7 hr. 20 min. flight.
